Teaching Languages and Communication: Perspectives on Quality and Change in Higher Education

he Language Centre Days bring together language and communication professionals from across Finland.

We warmly invite you to join us in Oulu to exchange ideas, gain inspiration and network with colleagues! 

A diverse programme will feature plenaries, presentations, workshops and posters. The event will explore the quality of teaching, pedagogical developments, and the changing professional environment from multiple angles.

The presentation sessions, workshops, and posters provide opportunities for exploring practical topics in greater depth, sharing experiences, and developing one’s professional expertise together with colleagues. The language-specific focus groups offer a space for networking, the exchange of ideas, and the sharing of best practices with language professionals in one’s field. 

  

Important Dates

  • 1 December 2026 – Registration opens.
  • 1 December 2026-15 January 2027 – Proposals to be submitted to abstraktit@kielikeskuspaivat2027.fi.
  • 26 February 2027 – Decisions about proposals will be sent to all applicants by 26 February 2027. 
  • 15 March 2027 – Early bird registration closes. Be sure to register in time!
  • 4–5 May 2027 – Language Centre Days 2027. Join us for learning and collaboration!
